THE BEDROOM SHOW

For Postscrypt’s second online show, we exhibited submitted works related to the bedroom. We were interested in what a home or sense of place means to a person. This could materialize as artifacts lifted from one’s bedroom, photographs or videos of personal space, using media to re-think the boundaries between outside and inside, etc.

sleep, space, home, cage, privacy, a room of one’s own, dreams, dream journal, bedroom map, rest, refuge, sanctuary, sleep, imprisonment, intimate, confinement, inviting, locked, intimacy, incubation, cocoon, womb, dungeon, self reflection, self, identity, projected identify, creation, bedroom walls, walls

POSTCRYPT DOES NOT EXIST
May 16th 2020

Our very first online show, and online extravaganza."Performance" in this case, is a broad term. The medium can be anything, as long as it's your interpretation of what performance art means to you (dance, song, poems, endurance, puppetry, burlesque, drag, etc.)
The event was broadcasted by Postcrypt's own beloved hosts, who were  livestreaming and presenting each piece on Twitch.

“Being stuck at home can sometimes feel uninspiring, and we hope that this event will give everyone something fun and pressure-free to work towards as we close the school year. We want it to be a big performance extravaganza with lots of artists, so if you have an idea, please submit! :)”

Dark Ecologies
February 14th 2020

What is dark ecology? It is ecological awareness, dark- depressing. Yet ecological awareness is also dark-uncanny. And strangely it is dark-sweet.

Inspired by the theories of Timothy Morton, this show on dark ecologies seeks to destabilize an idealized Nature, green consumerism, or any self-assured environmentalism.
